Hockey Canada, with the support of the Hockey Canada Foundation, is offering a 90-minute virtually facilitated educational sessions led by TransFocus Consulting for local hockey associations across the country.

A detailed description of the facilitated session can be found in the attachment. The session’s focus is on enhancing understanding of the Hockey Canada Gender Expression/Gender Identity Policy. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, language usage, allyship, human rights, and their relevance to both the Gender Expression/Gender Identity Policy and Dressing Room Policy.

The four Atlantic Members (Hockey NS, Hockey NB, Hockey NL, and Hockey PEI) have partnered to host three Atlantic sessions for associations in the region. This approach provides greater flexibility for volunteers to attend. We strongly recommend that each association has at least one volunteer participate in one of the sessions.
